The Centre for Domestic Employees’ (CDE) Handy Guides series serves as to portray common scenarios or misconceptions encountered between foreign domestic employees and their employers. The guides are presented in a light-hearted manner to help both parties understand each other better. We hope that the series will help manage mutual expectations, especially in the initial stages of employment.
In volume 3, we explore situations where “Open communication” is crucial during daily interaction, so that foreign domestic employees and their employers can clearly understand the viewpoints of each other. We hope that this guide will encourage both employers and foreign domestic employees to communicate with each other clearly, which will aid in the building of a healthy relationship between both parties.
This version of the Handy Guides is translated into different languages from English into Bahasa Indonesia, Tagalog, Tamil, Hindi and Burmese.
